Hills Numberplates Ltd have ambitions to diversify the company particularly in niche areas of signage and decorative products, this business strategy lead to the acquisition of Dual Metallising on Friday 30th October 2015.

About Dual Metallising Limited

Dual Metallising, a vacuum metallising and paint spraying company was formed in 1982, becoming a market leader during that period of time. Progressing some six years later into plastic injection moulding which lead to manufacturing of finished products. Dual Metallising have made their mark within the industry by maintaining a high standard of work and a track record of providing fast, efficient and reliable service both with small and large volumes. Dual pride themselves on providing the best service possible, offering competitive rates and a fast turnaround capability which is vital to many of its clients. The friendly and welcoming company with 12 employees operates from an 8,500 square foot factory in the Tyseley area of Birmingham. Duals’ long serving employees are highly knowledgeable of this unique yet demanding industry and their skills are the force behind the success of the company.

About Hills Numberplates Ltd

Established since 1927, Hills manufacture number plates and number plate components. Hills are the market leader in the UK with a growing international trade and are reputed for their high quality products and services whilst continuing to broaden their business portfolio. Eyeway Signs, a division of Hills is a signage company and was acquired by Hills in 2012. Eyeway Signs design and manufacture bespoke signage for the care sector and specialise in signs for people living with Dementia.

Hills aim to grow and develop Dual quickly, as part of that process came the hiring of the vastly experienced General Manager, David Hipkiss. David joined from Trinity Press Group of Companies where he has developed management skills in a challenging market place and has the knowledge and experience to meet the our ambitions for Dual Metallising. Hills are investing in a new website and will progressively start to market the business via social media channels to attract business from a varied supply chain.

The business has a strong and loyal customer base and a comprehensive production and manufacturing processes in place. I will be assisting Hills with the transition up until December 2015 and then retiring to spend more time with my wife Olga and our passion for travel.
